Dear Sisters and Brothers:
I have compiled the attached material on parliamentary procedure to guide you through the business portion of your meetings with the hope that the meetings will be more effective and efficient.
The duties of the Parliamentarian for the Grand Chapter of Washington are to advise the Worthy Grand Matron, Worthy Grand Patron, and members on parliamentary procedure in accordance with the Constitution, By-Laws, and Regulations of the Grand Chapter of Washington, Order of the Eastern Star, and Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised. The Parliamentarian’s role is to issue an interpretive opinion and is advisory only.
